The València Nomads Hub project, an initiative of València Innovation Capital by the Valencia City Council, managed by Pleyad and My Tech Plan, held the first edition of Ecosystem Networking in collaboration with The Terminal Hub on May 14th, 2026.
The event was designed as an experimental networking format to facilitate meaningful connections between digital nomads already living in Valencia and members of the local innovation ecosystem.
Hosted at The Terminal Hub, the gathering brought together around 70 participants from different countries and professional backgrounds, including remote workers, founders, startup professionals, and ecosystem builders, all sharing a common objective: creating stronger bridges between international talent and Valencia’s entrepreneurial community.
An Experiment in Community Connection
Unlike traditional networking events, Ecosystem Networking was intentionally designed to encourage interaction between people who would probably not connect organically.
The event opened with two short presentations introducing both The Terminal Hub and València Nomads Hub, followed by a networking dynamic powered by My Tech Plan Play, a web application developed by My Tech Plan specifically for community-building experiences and interactive event dynamics.
Using matching codes and guided interactions, participants were encouraged to break the ice and engage with new people throughout the session.
The experience validated the idea that integration does not happen automatically — it requires intentional facilitation and carefully designed spaces.
The first edition of Ecosystem Networking confirmed that there is strong interest in creating intentional spaces where Valencia’s international and local communities can genuinely connect.
Because the goal is to help international talent integrate, participate, and actively contribute to the city’s long-term innovation ecosystem.
